boom is the perfect upgrade to your existing 3-in-1 or 6-in-1
TableMike if you need some additional reach. It will extend from a
retracted length of 19 inches to an extended length of 24 inches.
For many, the 2 ft. length of this boom will allow you to situate
the base of the TableMike far out of the way and prevent it from
taking up valuable real estate on your desk or work surface.

Excellent product. It is amazing how much difference the telescoping boom makes in clarity of recognition. It provides considerable freedom of movement in your immediate work area, while still dictating and being clearly recognized by Dragon .
9/4/2015 – Can you use the boom mike extended with travelmike
Response From Speech Recognition Solutions: No, unfortunately the extended boom for the TableMike uses an mini XLR interface and the TravelMike accept a standard 3.5 mm audio device, so they are not compatible with each other. For what it's worth, SpeechWare is about to release a separate mic which the are calling the TabletMic and which is essentially the exact element which is on the end of the boom used in all of the TableMikes and it has a 3.5 audio connection, so it is designed to work with the TravelMic. It's only about 1 1/2 inch long, so it doesn't have the reach of the full TableMike extended boom.
