I used Dragon Legal 12 six years ago before retiring. Recently I decided to start back dictating. I upgraded to Dragon Legal 15 and purchased a SpeechWare 3-in-1 TableMike. I am amazed at the accuracy of and the freedom from headphones in using SpeechWare 3-in-1 TableMike. I wished that I had this combination when practicing law. I also found working with Speech Recognition Solutions a pleasure. I highly recommend Speech Recognition Solutions for all your speech recognition needs.

After trying headset microphones, both handheld microphones, I've settled on the Speechware 3 in 1. It is a quality microphone with great accuracy and works great for dictating into my emr. For me, I didn't see that the more expensive TableMikes were necessary.

A very expensive exercise. I have combined this with a Dragon update. Over the years this is my third serious attempt at using speech recognition. If you can’t achieve close to 100% it is worthless. I am achieving that this time. Most errors on playback are from my own pronunciation not from the equipment or software.
3 in one tablemike
From Michael of Durham, North Carolina on 6/6/2016 .
Eventually worked well. Had to do "check microphone" 5-6 times before it (or the softrware) settled on a volume range that produced good quality voice and good quality accuracy. Did all this in the near field mode (blue light) did not bother to train the farfield mode (green light). I think there was something to this effect in the instructions you provided. I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase.

You must choose between several configurations for installation. So it is not as simple as plugging in a USB cable. However, the noise cancellation appears to work very well compared to my old microphone.
Works well

I am a long time Dragon user. I bought this to replace a USB headset mic. The headset gave accurate voice recognition, but the process of putting on and taking off the headset was a disincentive to using it. The tableMike is always ready to go. The TableMike is not quite as accurate as the headset, but it is an acceptable trade-off for the convenience.

Very easy to set up. I use it for Dragon and the quality and convenience are much better than the series of headsets that I previously used. Very satisfied.

great microphone, actually recording this with it. Base is nice and heavy, feels sturdy. Connections seem solid. I have been a dragon user for over 10 years. I have been a medical transcription dragon user for at least 3 years. This particular microphone has a normal and VOIP range which works out great. I haven't played much around with the long-range. I'm usually at a computer between patient's inputting information. Nice on off feature on the unit allows you to maintain recording mode on the DragonBar, but mute locally. So far word recognition is pretty good. Seems comparable to any of the headsets I was using, and the great thing is I don't have that hanging around my neck anymore. I was only using the microphone component and didn't like the headset on my head anyway as I really don't need to hear anything. overall pleased, could've been a little less expensive though.
Phenomenal!!!

Used the previous version of TableMike and this one is even better. Using it with Dragon Medical Practice Edition. The accuracy has blown me away. Follow these steps for supreme accuracy. These tips are a few years of experience between two different versions. Use it in blue mode for best accuracy no matter what anyone tells you. Initially, I had the microphone angled up from desktop somewhat toward my mouth a few inches away and got great results. A few days ago, for some reason, I repositioned to where most of the arm of the microphone is straight up and then turned at the top nearly 90 degrees so that the head of the microphone was totally parallel to the desktop. That way it was aimed more toward the back of my throat at the level of my lower lip (or slightly below) about 2 inches away. Even though accuracy was awesome before, these subtleties took accuracy to a new stratosphere. Being able to use at a distance is nice but you can't beat accuracy of close up.

The 3 in one microphone by SpeechWare works as advertised.
