Our Take: Unlike the other TableMikes (3-in-1, 6-in-1 and 9-in-1) this microphone does not include the ability to toggle back and forther between a "near" (blue) and "far" (green) mode. It does not, therefore, have the flexibility in allowing use from large distances. On the other hand, it also does not utilitize such extreme noise canceling algorithms and the sound input is much more accurate sounding, so it is perfect for communication with video conferencing. It does not include a speaker, but has a 3.5 mm speaker output jack, so it can be used with either earbuds or external speakers. We consider this a solid offerring from SpeechWare, although for serious speech recognition users who are more concerned about convenience and wanting more freedom of movement, recommend the 3-, 6-, or 9-in-1 mics.
