Repetitive Stress Injury Related
Repetitive stress or strain injury, also referred to as a "RSI" or "tendonopathy", is a clinical syndrome characterized by tendon thickening and chronic tendon pain. Although it can result from trauma, it is often a result of overuse. The mainstays of treatment include activity modification (reduction in the volume and intensity of provocative activities), biomechanical modification (actions and technologies designed to keep the body area - typically wrist or elbow - in a physiological position), stretching, anti-inflammatory medications and surgery.
