Audix OM2s Handheld Microphone

We have found this microphone to be a solid performer with use of speech recogniton software and recommend purchasing it with our balanced arm microphone stand.

Comments: With it's senstivity and hypercardioid pick-up pattern, we consider this to be a solid performing microphone for use with speech recognition, particularly for the user planning to mount it on a balanced spring arm (pictured below). We consider this to be roughly equivalent to the Samson Q7.

Ordering Notes:

1. We do not sell the OM2s with a cable, since the cable you require will depend upon your planned use of this product. Please see the combinations below and purchase the set-up appropriate for your use.
2. If you plan to use this with speech recognition, you will definitely want to buy either the 5 ft. or 15 ft. cable shown below, even if you are planning to use it with the Balanced Spring Arm. Both of these cables have a standard 3.5 mm stereo plug which will interface with your computer mic input jack or (preferably) an external USB adapter.
3. If you purchase the balanced spring arm, be aware that this includes an internal XML extension. One end with plug into your microphone and the other end will need to connect to either the 5 ft. or 15 ft. XML to 3.5 mm cables shown below
4. Like all analog microphones, we recommend interfacing the OM2 with an external USB sound card and if you don't have one alreay, the Andrea Pure Audio MA version shown below is an great choice.
